Soham Village College is a delightful place to learn and to work. Our buildings are set in beautiful grounds of 40 acres which, together with well-resourced classrooms, help foster a harmonious and positive learning environment.
We have skilled, committed teams of teachers and associate staff who help create a supportive and creative culture. Relationships between staff and students are a strength of the school and students have highly positive attitudes to learning. Students clearly enjoy their learning and good teaching motivates students well. As a result, behaviour is good in classrooms and during social time.
We pride ourselves on the wide range of curricular and extra-curricular opportunities which we offer to our students. We strive for excellence in and out of the classroom and we have been delighted by the successes of our students of all abilities and interests.

The Staploe Education Trust
The Staploe Education Trust came into being on 1 December 2012 when Kennett Primary School converted to Academy Status and joined the Soham Village College Academy Trust, which was formed in April 2011.
The Staploe Education Trust and its partners are committed to the leadership and management of successful and high-achieving schools in our community. Our schools work in very close partnership and are now known as the Staploe Schools Partnership.
Our school is an alliance partner of The Anglian Gateway Teaching School Alliance. This is a truly cross-phase, collaborative alliance, centred in the Bottisham, Burwell and Soham locality and working North/North East into Cambridgeshire and Suffolk. We share the inclusive ethos and core aims of the Anglian Gateway Teaching School Alliance in these key areas:

Talent management and succession planning drives every aspect of our work; developing the strengths, resources and creativity of all our teachers to ensure that the progress and well-being of the pupils and students in our alliance.’
